Stem Program


Program Goals

NDES STEM Enrichment Program is a multi-disciplinary approach to learning that puts content into context through project based learning. The classroom environment facilitates invention, innovation and problem solving through authentic real-world problems, engineering design projects and the creative application of various technologies.

Recognized as a Thomas Edison Award Recipient for Excellence in STEM Eduation, our program provides opportunities for students to enrich their science, technology, engineering and mathematics experience through hands-on teaching, guest speakers, experiments and applications.

STEM Classes meet in the enrichment room. Class schedules differ by grade level:
  • Grades K-2: One quarter
  • Grades 3-4: Two quarters
  • Grades 5-6: All year
  • Grades 7-8: Elective
