Stockings for Soldiers
As Notre Dame Lions, our core value of community was shown these past few weeks in our Stockings for Soldiers service project. Working alongside DeJohn Funeral Homes, students in grades K-5 donated over 2,200 items! Once collected, Student Council members assembled the stockings which will be sent to our troops and arrive just in time for Christmas! Students had a blast choosing special items for their stockings. Gabe Dolan (8th grade) made it his mission to get the best-looking sunglasses for his soldier, while others chose the tastiest candies or the funniest movies. Thank you to all who helped make this event so successful, and thank you to our service members, it was a pleasure to serve those who serve our country every day!
