Expanded Notre Dame Middle School Welcomes Students and Teachers

This week, the expanded Notre Dame Middle School opened to teachers and students for the very first time. It features five new classrooms, a science lab, a conference room, and office space dedicated to sixth, seventh, and eighth graders.
President Dr. Jacqueline Hoynes said, "Without the generosity of multiple donors, our present and future middle school students wouldn't have the beautiful new learning spaces and collaborative learning areas. We are grateful for the generous support of every one of them."
Mrs. Coates said, "Our new middle school is more than just updating walls and classrooms-it’s about creating an environment where students feel inspired, valued, and ready to succeed. It’s a place where possibilities are limitless. The new middle school continues to reflect our commitment to providing our students with a space that fosters creativity and growth."
The expansion is central to Notre Dame Schools’ current $11.5 Capital Campaign Leading Transformation. The campaign, currently at 98% of its fundraising goal, also included NDCL athletic facilities (Lion Stadium Grandstand, Kane Family Patio and the Rieger Athletic Center), NDCL science classrooms (The Maureen Wahl Discovering Biology Lab and The Gorse-Ernes Families Chemistry Lab) and Endowment.
