Registration FAQ

When do we register our child/children for 2019-2020?
  • Preschool - Grade 8 registration for 2019-2020 begins on February 13, 2019. In order to secure your child/children’s enrollment, registration must be completed by February 27, 2019.  Registration for other interested families begins after February 27, 2019.
 Is there a Registration Fee?
  • K-8 registration fee is $150 per child and due at the time of registration. After February 27, 2019, the registration fee will be $200.
  • Preschool registration fee is $100 per child and due at the time of registration.

What do we need to know in order to register our child for Kindergarten and Preschool?

  • For Kindergarten, a child must be age five by September 30, 2019 in order to be considered for Kindergarten and be screened before final acceptance into Kindergarten.  Kindergarten screening will be March 28 or 29.

  •  For Preschool:
    • A child must be age 3 by September 30, 2019 to enter the 3-year-old program.
    • A child must be age 4 by September 30, 2019 to enger the Pre-K program.

    K-8 Activity Fee:
    $125 fee covers classroom fees, field trips and Parent Association dues.

      AM Class: 8:00 am – 11:00 am
      Tuition: $2,600
    • 3-year-old Class Full Day Program
      Monday – Friday
      All Day Class: 8:00 am – 2:30 pm
      Tuition: $4,975
    • Pre-K Class Half Day Program
      Monday – Friday
      AM Class: 8:00 am – 11:00 am
      Tuition: $3,650
    • Pre-K Class Full Day Program
      Monday – Friday
      All Day Class: 8:00 am – 2:30 pm

    Other Fees
    • Registration Fee $100
    • Supply Fee $75 (applied to tuition invoice)
      Includes religion book, tote bag, paper products, Parent Association, homeroom dues, and field trips

    Financial Aid

    How do I pay for tuition?
    • All tuition payment plans will be administered by FACTS Management Company.
    What are the payment plan options?
    • FACTS offers families the ability to pay tuition in full, 2 payments, 4 payments, 10 or 12 payments with check, credit card, or EFT. If you choose an option other than payment in full or the 2 payment option, there is a $60 per family FACTS processing fee.
    • NDES will finalize the billing process and you will receive your invoice via email mid-May indicating the payments scheduled according to your selected plan.
    Are there tuition reduction programs?
    • Tuition Reduction Incentive Program (TRIP)
      TRIP is an optional program in which a family could reduce their tuition cost through the purchase of gift cards/certificates to local shopping venues.
    Is there need-based assistance available?
    For NDES grades K-8, we offer the following options for need-based assistance. We do not offer any need-based assistance for students attending preschool.
    • Facts Grant and Aid Assessment Company (FACTS)
      NDES provides need-based assistance for qualifying families. In order be considered, a FACTS Grant application must be completed by March 30, 2020. This application is administered by the FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment Company, an independent company with whom NDES partners. A processing fee of $30 per family is due at the time of completing the online application. The results of this application are sent to NDES and reviewed by our Financial Assistance Committee. FACTS Financial Aid Applications must be completed annually.

    • Diocese of Cleveland Tuition Assistance (FACTS)
      Families may choose to apply for to tuition assistance through The Diocese of Cleveland. Diocesan Financial Assistance is also through FACTS. Families may opt-in to Diocesan Tuition Assistance by answering a few additional questions when completing the FACTS Financial Assistance Application. Deadline for the first round is March 30, 2020.
    Questions or Concerns Regarding Tuition? 

    Transportation

    Busing is provided by most major school districts. As a service to our families, NDCL offers bus transportation for NDES students who live in neighborhoods where busing is not provided by the local public school district.
     
    NDCL-provided bus transportation will serve those locations in Lake, Cuyahoga, and Geauga Counties where the expressed need is greatest. To learn more about bus transportation, click here.
