Lions Golf Classic attracts 172 golfers and raises $38K for Notre Dame Schools
The annual Lions Golf Classic held on August 28th at Fowler’s Mill Golf Course was a ROARING success! Thanks to generous sponsors, a record turnout of golfers (172), and picture-perfect weather, the event raised nearly $38,000 for Notre Dame Schools. WOW!
Highlights of the event included:
· Hole in One contest for a new car and $10,000 in cash
· Putting Contest
· 50/50 Raffle, Skins game, pin shots, long drive
· “Closest to the Lion” drive
· Winking Lizard BBQ lunch
· Awarding the “Blue Jacket” to longtime attendee, alumni parent, and NDES grandparent Mark Mekota
This year’s three winners were:
Maple/Lake: Bill Bauer, Dan Lariccia, Paul Mucci, Ryan Olds
River/Maple: Mike Benda, Tom Benda, Tim Manning
Lake/River: Dan Musa, Matt Moskalski, Rick Nahra, Mike Wheeler
