What is the Buddy Family Program?
The Buddy Family Program is organized by the Notre Dame Parent Association in partnership with the Admissions Office. It matches existing school families with new families to help ensure a smooth transition at NDES.
Who can be a Buddy Family?
A Buddy Family is any NDES family enrolled in the 2019-2020 school year and willing to be a resource for questions that a new, incoming (Preschool -Grade 8) family may have during the summer, and at the beginning and during the school year.
How does the Buddy Family work?
As a Buddy Family, you will be paired with a newly enrolled family that best matches your child/ren’s grade and/or gender. Buddy assignments will be sent out in July. Each Buddy Family is asked to make personal contact with their new families within a week of receiving their assigned family. Buddy Families are also invited to attend The New Family Celebration, an adult-only reception (along with the new families
and staff) on August 15, 2019.
